Millie was found at the end of January (and came to her second foster family in mid-March). She had mange and could barely walk. The doctors said she might have been hit by a car previously but she somehow damaged her knee and/or hip. She was timid for a while but has now come out of her shell and is a class clown puppy. She’s on constant pain medication until we can have surgery done to repair her leg. 😞
She gets around just fine but she basically uses three legs to get around. Pet Food Pantry of ENC is a local non-profit that helps the pet community by providing food for dogs and cats whose owners are going through a financially hard time, they also provide spay and neuter vouchers to help cover the cost and then they occasionally stumble upon dogs and cats in need like Millie. www.petfoodpantryenc.org
